Event Summary
Join metrobar and the DMV beer community for a fundraiser to support Liquid Intrusion Brewing Company (LIBCO) Co-Founder & Brewer Jasmine Dill. We’re celebrating Jasmine, LIBCO, and their amazing liquids with a LIBCO Halloween Fundraiser on Thursday, Oct. 30th, from 6:00-9:00pm! Show your love and stop in to raise a glass in support of their Genetically Unapologetic fundraiser, to help with Jasmine’s care fighting Von Hippel-Lindau disorder (VHL), raise awareness for VHL and the reproductive misdiagnosis crisis facing Black women, and ensure a bright future for LIBCO.
We’ll have beats from Teddy G, food from Chow Down DC, sips of LIBCO’s prevailing liquids, and community with the teams from Womxn’s Brew Culture Club and DC Beer. A portion of sales will be donated to support Jasmine’s treatment and LIBCO’s future, and all patrons are encouraged to directly support the Genetically Unapologetic fundraiser.
Pull up Thursday to metrobar and let’s show everyone how the DMV comes thru for our beer community and prevails, together!
Costumes welcome, but not required.

BACKGROUND FROM LIBCO
On June 5th, we were in NYC celebrating one of the biggest wins of our beer careers. On June 27th, we got the news that changed our lives forever. After becoming finalists in the Sam Adams Brewing the American Dream Experienceship as the only non-brick-and-mortar or taproom brewery selected, Jasmine, our co-founder and the heart of LIBCO, was diagnosed with Von Hippel-Lindau (VHL), a rare genetic disorder that causes tumors and cysts to grow throughout the body. The last few months have been filled with doctor visits, scans, and waiting lists for genetic counseling. Through it all, Jasmine’s strength has been unshakable.
We’re now fighting on two fronts:
That’s why we’ve launched our capital raise to open our first taproom and production facility a permanent home for our legendary liquids, our community, and Jasmine’s vision.
Here’s how you can stand with us right now:
This is bigger than beer. This is about standing with a Black woman who’s broken barriers, built a business from scratch, and is now facing the fight of her life.

May the Liquid & Jasmine Prevail
Supporting Jasmine One Shirt & One Beer at a Time: Genetically Unapologetic because LIBCO’s co-founder and brewer Jasmine Dill has been experiencing headache and blurred vision, which turns out to be Von Hippel-Lindau syndrome (VHL), a rare hereditary condition that causes tumors and cysts throughout the body. “This beer honors Jasmine’s personal journey, the pain, the misdiagnosis, the resilience, and the rare truth of it all,” co-founder and co-owner Andrew Dill told us. “It will be released some time after Jasmine’s scheduled surgeries in the DMV market, and we invite you to taste it, share it, and understand what it stands for. Until then, supporting us through your favorite LIBCO flagship liquid or merch means the world.” Dill is in treatment, so you might not see the twin shirted duo of Dills around as much as normal this fall. LIBCO isn’t slowing down on brewing, however, and they’re raising capital for a taproom and production facility in Prince George’s County, which would be the first Black-owned brand with that distinction in the county. Look for cans of Genetically Unapologetic in DC and Maryland soon. They’ve also partnered with The Wine Concierge to ship their beers nationwide. More information at their website, and watch their social media, too.
We are celebrating the amazingness that is Jasmine and doing what we can to help ease the medical costs and to help compensate for beer, brewing and selling time lost during Jasmine’s treatment and recovery.
GENETICALLY UNAPOLOGETIC | THE BEER: This isn’t just a beer. It’s a declaration! Brewed with purpose, “Genetically Unapologetic” is a bold Belgian Tripel from Liquid Intrusion Brewing Company and Soul Mega, inspired by Jasmine’s (LIBCO’s Co-founder) deeply personal health journey a beer born from the fight to be heard, seen, and properly diagnosed.
