Event Summary
Come join us for a Día de los Muertos celebration at metrobar, with a special edition of our monthly Goza party, blending Latin grooves and global club sounds into one unforgettable night. Curated by DJ Melina, Goza is a fusion of Afro-Caribbean and Latin music influences intersecting with the sounds that shaped a generation of first-gen Latinos in the DMV.
We’re not from here, but we’re not from there either—we exist in the in-between. Raised by immigrants yet deeply shaped by the sounds, style, and cultural influence of Black America—hip-hop, R&B and soul music. At the same time, American pop culture shaped our upbringing—VH1, TRL, and 97.1 FM in DC filled our screens and airwaves, creating the soundtrack of our youth. Goza is a space where our dual identities thrive, where nostalgia meets discovery, and where we dance to the rhythms that define us—and to the music that will define us.
¡Pa’ bailar y pa’ gozar!
